South Salem Rotary Scholarship

South Salem Rotary is committed to awarding scholarships to recognize outstanding high school students and to help meet the cost of students post-secondary education costs.

Scholarships will be awarded for any accredited post-secondary education program. The award will be issued as a one-time payment to the school, at the beginning of the student's second term or semester.

All scholarships will be awarded without regard to other scholarships the recipient may receive. Scholarships will not be awarded, however, to candidates who accept appointment to any U.S. Service Academy, or to recipients of full tuition, room and board scholarships.

Applications may be obtained at the Community Resource Information Center at Sprague High School.

The Scholarship Award Committee consists of three or more members in good standing of the South Salem Rotary Club. Judging of applications will be based on Academic Achievement, School Activities, Community Activities and Committee Evaluation. Financial need will not necessarily be a criterion, but may be considered.

The Scholarship Award Committee will present their selections to the South Salem Rotary Board of Directors for approval. The decision of the Board will be final. Awards will be announced at a South Salem Rotary Club meeting in May.
